Happy New Year!

I hope you had a nice holiday and New Year celebration with family and friends, or found the quiet time you needed to be ready for the new year ahead.

2009 promises to be a big year of change for America and the world. I have high hopes that the changes we make today will make for a better future for tomorrow and the generations that follow. I am optimistic of the fresh new look that Obama brings as our new president in 2009. It certainly looks like he hit the ground running!

Local News: Snow storms, wind, rain, flooding rivers... Are we competing with California for the title of #1 Action State? Hopefully the worst of our weather has come and gone for now. There should be plenty of snow in the mountains. For local resorts, see Skiing

Over the holidays I had some amazing deep powder snow skiing with my brother Dale. Unfortunately, I ended up in a high-speed powder avalanche, buried up to my neck! No Worries, all is good. Thanks Dale for your patience and care getting me out of that one. Never a dull moment with the Karr boys. Ask me about my avalanche story when you come in for your massage. Let's just say I am happy to be alive and I have a renewed appreciation for the people in my life and my cause to bring healing to this world.

Entertainment? I joined the Everett Chorale last fall and was a part of a magical Christmas performance, accompanied by flautist, Jeffrey Cohan in December.
