January 11, 2007 News: Happy New Year!!!

Autumn/Winter Storms in Seattle!

Ahhh, a little winter snow and sunshine in Seattle, like icing on the cake to start the new year off right.

2006 was quite a wild year for the world, and locally as well. There were Snow storms that sent cars flipping over in the ditch. Hurricane wind force that knocked down giant timbers like they were toothpicks, removed power from all the puget sound, and forced sub-station melt downs. I was just waiting for the locusts to begin their march on Seattle... Hopefully, the worst is behind us, but you never can tell.

The good news is that the days will continue to get longer, although they won't likely get any warmer for a while. There is however, a nice depth of snow in the mountains that should make for a great year of skiing! "Rah-ba-biskee!!!" Oh, that's my favorite Highlander yodel.

Did you get a chance to check out the holiday lights this year? Some of the usual neighborhoods spectacularly displayed their lights! They are tough to photograph, but I captured some of them to give you a taste for next year. See holiday light photos
